Lise Bjorne Linnert
"Art and culture for social" Award
Norwegian artist, he studied at Oslo Institute of Interdisciplinary Arts and the United States. His art includes collaboration with a wide range of people and cultures.
His work has been exhibited internationally and Lise level has a deep interest in public spaces: libraries, churches, prisons, detention centers.
His art looks to social problems often remained in the shadows such as femicide in Ciudad Juarez in Mexico, known internationally as the most dangerous city in the world for a woman, defined by the Mexican "city of women's death." Here, since the early nineties, hundreds of girls have been raped and murdered and their bodies dumped in the desert. The authors of these brutal crimes were, in most cases, without a name.
The project is titled Lise Desconocida Unknown Ukjent - which in Mexican, English and Norwegian means "unknown."
The goal is to remember with a "common thread", that the victims of violent crimes are the same all over the world, there is no difference in culture, race, religion or country of origin.
