“MAN CHARACTER FOR HUMAN RIGHTS” Award

He is the youngest Tuscan – and, maybe, even Italian - Prosecutor General ever.

He worked with Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino and did his internship with the judge Rocco Chinnici.

During his career he has paid a lot of attention to gender violence, so that he has established an important collaboration with the main institutions and authorities in order to fight such phenomenon, getting excellent results as well. One such is the memorandum of understanding which involves ten Attorney offices in Tuscany, the Region of Tuscany, the Juvenile Attorney of Florence, and which has issued the forensic and legislative guidelines on the “Codice Rosa” Regional network that, in the Tuscan healthcare system, provides reception, care and protection for abuse victims.

The aim is to guarantee the best support to victims of violence who access emergency departments through all the region, by concurring with the best procedures in terms of efficacy, efficiency, respect and protection of the victims.
Tuscany has become a modern Region – it is the Region that created the “Codice Rosa”, a network that links social and medical issues.
