“WOMAN OF COURAGE” Award

We are starting from today to go back in time to the story of this woman, who's the symbol of sacrifice and perseverance. She represents  sacrifice particularly because of her childhood, since she was oppressed by the violent father, who just wanted to make her feel subjected and who didn't tolerate school. This would be the leif motif of her life, since, after such  sad youth, Nicoletta, when eighteen years old, decided to escape from this situation thank to a marriage. Getting an instruction still remained her main objective, but what had seemed initially an opportunity to finally get a normal routine, suddenly changed into something worse than her prevoius life. Despite of a new born,  brutalization and violence would oblige her to face the future by herself. Just her aim to graduate would relieve her lonelyness, even if she would have to combine both studying  and working during the night. This is a very short but at the same time, big and mean story about wickedness, violence, overpowering and deep suffering, but today that past remains inside Nicoletta's soul, to give her the force to help whoever lives in such despairing situations as it was hers.
