“SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP” Award

Manager with a banking background, she decides to put an end to a world, in which profits oppress more than prices. Her carreer in the financial world was  first level, which demonstrates a great organizing ability and an anticipated view for the future. However, Luciana realizes how this eager and managerial world is not suitable to her. For this reason, her decision causes her to put focus on society, in particular on  the most underpriviliged ones, which leads her to start from her town, Lecce. Here, with new inspiration and perspective, she can finally start her experiments on a particular "yes-profit" activity, having as a purpose to give dignity to job, which shouldn't be considered just as a way to earn an income, but also  as the craving to regain a future. Made in Carcere and Seconda Chance are the starting point for prisoners in semifreedom  and former prisoners. Officina Creativa is another initiative which completes Luciana's objective not only to recover a refound humanity but also to create opportunities for the future. The projects, located in different centres, are today active in four diverse places, in which Luciana offers working opportunities to women, giving them hope for the future. Yet such story, started with the capital egemony, must have necessarily something as a support and Luciana sums it up like this; "it's the TRUE smiling of people who get helped which rewards of all the commitment and sacrifice".
