"Judge courage". A name that was born in the social world, but which well describes the determination and sensitivity with which Melita Cavallo has built her professional and life path. In its journey, justice and humanity have never been two parallel tracks, but two values ​​that could not be separated from each other.

Along these lines, and with that watchful and passionate gaze that only being a mother gives you, she traced her own course at the helm of the Commission for International Adoptions and, subsequently, of the Juvenile Court of Rome, honoring her role as president with perseverance, commitment and delicacy.

Adoption, family violence and the protection of orphans: these are all issues to which Melita has remained closely linked. Because certain stories of abuse and suffering are impossible to forget and the phenomenon of violence can really be fought with education in respect and attention to language.

This baggage, in addition to her own legal competence, is what Melita brought with her to the Forum TV room and in the book "Just because a woman. From honor killing to femicide ", hoping for maximum awareness of civil society at all levels.

His is a precious contribution to the culture of respect.
