carries on her body as well as on her heart the weight of that violence suffered years ago, of those dull and ferocious blows struck to tear her away from her dreams, her plans and her life. Annamaria is a survivor who has decided not only to survive: she has chosen to live, facing her pain and giving a new meaning to her life, turning suffering into courage. Her voice, still strong and crystalline, has become the voice of all those women who can no longer cry out for justice to the world, and her art a new language capable of speaking to whole generations. Short films, international campaigns, law proposals: Annamaria’s work is a 360° social commitment against all forms of violence, inequity and abuse of power. A tireless cultural battle that becomes a symbol of hope, amplifying throughout the world the most rue of messages: love is not possession.
